Вероятно все сталкивались с тем, насколько сильно может отличаться восприятие книги (или другой информации), в зависимости от перевода. В одном случае книга прочитывается на одном дыхании, а в другом (та же книга, но переведенная другим человеком) впечатление может быть совсем иным, теряется удовольствие от прочтения, можно даже не дочитать книгу или бросить в самом начале, в итоге могут быть не самые лестные отзывы и комментарии в духе «и что в ней все такого находят».
Первый раз я прочитал книгу Хроники Нарнии в детстве, оттуда самые теплые воспоминания о ней, когда-то она была моей самой любимой книгой. Читал ее и перечитывал я в переводе В. Воседого, Д. Афиногенова и В. Волковского. (В этом переводе книги имеют названия: «Лев, Ведьмарка и Зеркальный Гардероб», «Племянник чародея», «Конь и его всадник», «Королевич Каспиан», «Поспешающие к восходу, или поход на край света», «Серебряное кресло», «Последняя битва», а также имя Льва переведено как «Эслан»).
Прошел не один год, и однажды я захотел перечитать эту книгу, для чего скачал ее из интернета. Открыл файл, начал читать, и… после первых же несколько абзацев я был несколько шокирован из-за того диссонанса, который возник между оставшимися воспоминаниями и тем, что я читал… Настолько скучным и однообразным мне показался этот текст! «Да, память меня подводит(((» — была первая мысль. Это так печально — когда твоя любимая книга вдруг оказывается вовсе не такой хорошей, как ты считал… Но я быстро понял что дело может быть в переводе, так как заметил отличие в названиях, которые я помнил уже точно. Как оказалось это был перевод «Хроники Нарнии» под редакцией Трауберг. На мой взгляд — в разы хуже того перевода, в котором читал «Нарнию» я. Зато от сердца отлегло…
Однако, как оказалось, именно этот вариант широко распространен по сети, другой найти очень сложно, мне понадобилось на это много времени. Даже купить не получилось! Просто «нет в наличии» нигде! (может быть есть в оффлайн-магазинах, я их давно не посещал). Быть может только мне нравится вариант перевода Воседого и Афиногенова, не знаю. В любом случае я даю возможность сравнить эти переводы и выбрать тот, который больше нравится.
